Went to Makro Woodmead to purchase an electric blanket that was advertised on the web for R519. The product as described was on the shelf with no price displayed. Took it to the quick till (less than 10 items) till and the price was R549. Had to walk around the stores for approximately 10 minutes with a member of staff. Located a member for the department. This employee told me that the item displayed on the web was not in stock although the one on the shelf was identical to the advertised one. Went back to the till. The department employee refused to give me his name (Jerry). Eventually manager (Patrick) was located and the item was given at R500. Why was there not an internal phone at the till? Why did the department employee act in such a way?
