After 8pm is an appropriate delivery time?

I live in a very strict apartment building where deliveries are not allowed to take place after 5pm, the security guards are instructed not to let movers/couriers in after 5pm, which is totally understandable to maintain a level of order and quietness in the building. I ordered a fridge from Makro and I got an sms yesterday (Tuesday) saying it had been dispatched from the warehouse at 9am and I can expect delivery. By 5pm that evening I hadn't heard anything and was worried. 8pm that evening I got a call from one of the Makro drivers telling me they have four more deliveries and then they will come to me?? I told them not to worry as they aren't allowed. I called the helpline this morning (Wednesday) to inform them that they cant expect deliveries to take place so late, and I was assured that my delivery will be here before 5pm today. I heard nothing until now (8.30pm) that they wanted to deliver again? My brand new fridge has now been riding around a truck and carted off and on for two days and I have been without a fridge for three days. Very ridiculous service.
