Advertise promotions that they don’t have in stock

Starts a promotion (double deal) on Vodacom contract on the 6th of Oct. We were in the store and saw the promo flyer before it was put on the wall. We took a picture of it. The promo that they started they only had 2 of the phones in stock (they can only supply 1 double deal). So they assisted us in filling all the information to apply for the Vodacom deal and only after we filled in our info at the store and wasting our time we are told they are waiting for Vodacom for something (I am not sure what because the story keeps changing. Then it is they waiting on stock because they are not allowed to scan 2 single devices as a double deal and then it is they waiting on Vodacom for the deal) so who knows what we are waiting for but we were promised a phone call Saturday morning at 9am to find out if we were approved and if they received whatever it is they were waiting for.

Come Saturday morning… no phone call.. suprised? So we phoned in and asked to go through to the cellular department. “Ohhh no I forgot they not working on Saturdays” was the response we got. They, probably referring to Vodacom. So Monday comes… No phone call… not suprised.. So we phoned but could not get through to the cellular department. My husband went to the store and spoke to a manager. We were told that they are still waiting for Vodacom. But they wanted us to take 2 single deals so we can get the last 2 phones in stock. The price difference is as follows: 2x Single deals are R830pm 1x double deal is R1199pm =R460pm difference that they want us to take instead because they are unable to supply a promotion that they are advertising on their wall. We went directly to a Vodacom store just to find out of this particular they do not even have in their warehouse anymore since it has been cleared out. So why did Makro waste our time and are still wasting our time having us drive back and fourth and phone in all the time telling us they waiting on Vodacom
