Absolutely useless

Makro is the absolute worst online retailer. I ordered goods on 25 November 2022. After no movement on my delivery for two weeks, I went through the arduous task of cancelling my order: called the customer care line during the week and there was no answer. Finally got through on the weekend but after being placed on hold, the phones stopped working and my request wasn’t completed. I emailed them and didn’t receive a reply. I went in to my nearest Makro store but they couldn’t help me as the online marketplace is separate from the stores. They were kind enough to send an email to the relevant department on my behalf. I tried calling again and finally got through on the 3rd try. But they couldn’t activate the cancellation themselves and had to refer the request to another department. They also have a bot that gives you the option to cancel but again it has to be referred to another department. So Makro’s had my money for nigh on 4 weeks and now I’m told I’ll have to wait another 10 days for the refund to reflect in my account.
