4 weeks no response on repair

I purchased an LG TV from Makro Centurion on the 4th of December 2014.

On the 24th of January 2015 I took my TV into the returns department at Makro centurion as it had a faulty display.

I had the TV for 51 days when it became faulty. Makro has had the TV in for repairs for 30 days. The TV has almost been with Makro for as long as I had use of it.

When it was taken in, I was not given the option of repair, exchange or refund as per the Consumer Protection Act but merely told that it had to be sent for repairs.

I have also received only one sms on the 29th of January to say that the TV had arrived at the supplier/repair agent. Numerous calls to the Centurion branch have provided zero information on the progress of the repair.

I would like a refund of this product in keeping with the CPA as this product was not even 2 months old when it became faulty. I do not understand how it can take 4 weeks to repair a TV and will never buy another LG product either
