Wedding at Makiti Wedding Venue

I want to share my experience of wedding venue Makiti. At first I had a really amazing expression about this place but close it was for my wedding date more upset I was.

First of all be ready that venue will tell you that you need to pay for your pre snacks and pre drinks 🍹 although everyone knows that bride and groom will never eat them it is for guests. Prices for pre snacks are quite expensive and you pushed to order minimum 3 snacks per person so be ready to pay if you don’t want your guest to be hungry

The accommodations is absolutely horrible. Some of my guest didn’t get a shampoo in the rooms, at big houses 🏘 “River house” for 10 adults they only put 4 soups and 4 shampoo so be ready to share. Some rooms had bedding full of holes and dirty spots , it was a lot of ****roaches 🪳 in the River house and also it was really dirty, you can see that they are do not taking care of their property just want to get money.

In my wedding day was a lot of moments that spoiled my and my husbands mood. The florist put paint on the flowers so my white dress was full of the paint and I paid for my bouquet R500. Flowers that they used to decorate the arch were disgusting it felt that it was leftovers from other wedding and also they decorated bride and groom chairs with some sticks with leaves that were poking me and my husband’s back all the time.

It supposed to be a bottle of champagne 🍾 for each table so after the speeches when MC said let’s raise the glass we saw that non of the tables have champagne so groom was running by himself to make sure that people will have it but unfortunately even when they served it so late it was hot, so I can say that service was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!!

Also the DJ that Makiti provided made my guests fall asleep, playing one song for more than 5 minutes, we asked him to play something more fun and change songs faster because of the lockdown we were pressed with time but unfortunately he won’t listen.

I was super disappointed it is not worth it to pay so much money and be treated like that. In the future think twice about having wedding at Makiti.

At first you will notice that people are so nice and price’s are good BUT believe me closer it will be to your wedding you will realize that those people are not interested in making your day special AT ALL!!!! 🤬😡😭😡
