Poor and atrocious customer service

We are having, or rather in all likelihood not having our wedding at this venue on the 31 October 2020. We have been trying from mid April to get a postponement. We have sent various emails to our wedding planner, Angelique Hough, who has not returned our mails timeously, once responding 1 month later. I am starting to regret more and more that we have chosen this venue. We have asked for the postponement on a number of occasions, our first communications starting in mid April, but they don't want to confirm this and it is the 3rd of July today. We understand about your standard terms and conditions and if we have to pay the penalty we will, but also understand that you have to prove your losses to justify the penalty as per the consumer protection act. We are asking for this postponement because it is highly unlikely that this wedding will be allowed to go ahead. To me it feels like Makiti is delaying as long as it can in order to activate the forfeit clause on their contract. Is this perhaps a tactic to have us forfeit our deposits? Makiti is frustrating the process with their lack of communication and their inability to take decisions. Can someone at Makiti please respond on our calls and emails???!!! We have already paid more than 60% of the bill, and it seems that we are going to have a massive battle to get any service or any money back from Makiti.
