Horrible service 11thApril2021 WeddingCakeLost

Good day.

On the 11th April 2021 we got married there and decided to have a wedding cake one tier to share with everyone.

The lady who was assisting us on the day took the whole cake to the back.

Cut for everyone, then the big cake never came back which was the largest tier.

While everyone has left the place we decided to go ask them about the cake and the lady confirmed it is still there. I then said to her because we sleeping over will it be possible to fetch it in the morning and she said yes.

Fair enough.

The morning of the 12th on our way to breakfast still in their premises... We met a lady who took the whole cake and we said to her we still going for breakfast when we done we will pass by to collect the cake.

Then the drama started that took almost 30min She the said le me go check for it and she left. Few minutes came back and said someone from your ppl took the cake.. As we told her NOPE we were the last people to confirm it was there after everyone left She then said oh ok let me go ask again While we were having out breakfast she came and said no it's in a place of safety you guys can eat and collect once done. On our way to her she said let me rather take your numbers I'll call you.... And you can go home No call mothing After two or three days we called in and asked about a cake we were told the matter will be referred to management We were not contacted We called again Same story of management we were told

I then said let me rather call and ask for John cause he was the one who assisted us the 1st time and he was very helpful Spoke to John and he said no we will check out cameras and get back to you No call from him.

We then decided to call again and finally it was escalated to management

Mangement rep**** after some time and said

UNFORTUNATELY YOUR CAKE WAS THROWN AWAY MONDAY AFTERNOON THE 12TH BECAUSE NOONE CAME TO FETCH IT.

We were shocked to hear that because we came to fetch the cake same Monday before 9 in the morning but management says it was thrown away Monday afternoon and that raised an eyebrow to us.

We then insisted on management that we still want our cake the kept on saying they now not sure what happened and we then send them the quote of the cake as they requested or rather promised to do something then the latest email was after quotation was we will pay the 50 percent and we rep**** and said it cannot be 50 percent when the cake was there all of a sudden family took it then again its by the place of safety another story it was thrown away.

We need our cake.. They then never rep****.

How sad it is that management of Makiti failed to investigate properly and give us atleast a recording of that incident.

Well we still waiting for them to respond regarding our wedding cake.
