While the venue and grounds are lovely, the service, accommodation and food left a lot to be desired.

The nightmare started with the Google maps listing taking you in completely the wrong direction 15 minutes away from the venue. As a result we were late for the starting time, fortunately the bride was running late.

To get the room keys was such a mission, we had to trek very far in heels to collect it, even though the staff told us it wasn't far. When I got to our room, the previous occupant was still in there! We ended up staying with the rest of the guests in the River house. Our bed linen smelled of urine, the staff claimed two towels were missing even though there is no count done when you check in. So we had to pay for it!

It's sad that such a nice venue can't get the basics right.
