Where can I start!

From the moment I saw an advert on Facebook for Makiti, I was instantly in love. I knew immediately that that is where we were going get married.

Their specials are always amazing and that just makes it so much easier for couples-to-be to save on venue costs as it can be a very costly factor when planning a wedding. So much was included in our venue hire, and since the date we wanted was during the week, we didn't even have to pay venue hire! Our DJ was also included and he delivered a phenomenal service. He called before the wedding to confirm the list of music, was very accommodating to requests from us as well as our guests, and was such a friendly person to have around at our wedding.

The bridal suite was included, taking the stress out of having to figure out where to get ready the morning of the wedding. And what a beautiful suite! So spacious, the makeup room was a lovely space to have hair and makeup done, the lighting throughout the suite is stunning for extra special photos, the bedroom and bathrooms are also lovely.

We had a wedding coordinator included as well, and that took my stress from 100 to 0. She helped throughout the day, ran around making sure my extra decor was set up and perfectly in place, making sure everything was going according to plan and most importantly, running on time. From the moment I arrived at the venue the morning of our wedding, all my stress disappeared as we were in good hands.

During dinner we were well taken care of by staff, never hungry or thirsty. Afterwards, we were thanked and complimented by our guests as they really enjoyed dinner! Spinach and pumpkin "koekies" were the definite favorite! We also had so many extras included in our food choices, no one left hungry or had too little. The extra ice cream was a lifesaver!

From the moment we started going to Makiti to plan our wedding, it took our breath away. The chapel, venue and stunning gardens make for really unforgettable moments and photos. We were so well taken care of, the easiest part of planning our wedding was the venue, all thanks to Makiti and their staff. They made it so easy and stress free.

There is absolutely nothing that we would change about our special day.

I would recommend Makiti over and over again, for too many reasons to list, but the most important would be because of their hospitality, their hard work to make your day special as well as their pricing! Well worth it.
