Wedding day makeup fails
Trial makeup with Anj was good. I was pleased with the result, and the fact it didn't look unnatural at the time. Wedding day proved to be a whole different story. Firstly, paying to have FitMe foundation being app**** by a professional was not what I had expected. To get the same effect of most other full coverage products thus required lots of layering which I was less than comfortable with. Nonetheless, it was my wedding day and I didn't want any extra things to stress about so I let it be and tried to trust the professional, trust the process and hope for the best. At the end, we ended up straying from the look I desired, convinced to try more dramatic eyes, which I was told I would get used to and convinced that this is more bridal and made more sense for me. My mum also does not wear makeup on a regular basis and felt like a wax model after having herself done too. She ended up wiping half off and softening up her makeup look before the wedding. For myself, I had no time to even check properly as delays with getting ready in studio meant I was late for my photoshoot already. Furthermore, when looking through the wedding pics that came through after, I looked 2 shades darker and all you could see was lashes. The makeup was also less than ideal for stage in front of a hawan, with the lights on us. Rather disappointing experience to have for wedding pics and though I can't change anything now, this is just for future brides to be aware of.
