BE WARY WHEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY

<p>In December 2015 my fiancee booked to have her bridal make-up done by Shiloh King and Majestic Make-up Academy. She made the booking in advance eventhough the wedding will only be in April 2017 and signed an indemnity form. We specifically chose Majestic as the studio is situated in Musgrave and close to the wedding venue.</p> <p> </p> <p>In April 2016 we heard rumours that the studio was going to move premises to Gateway. we immediately queried this with Majestic and Shiloh's PA at the time assured us that they will be in Musgrave unless they notify us otherwise and that they had no immediate plans. In the beginning of July a family member saw that the studio was now based at Gateway. We contacted the studio and they confirmed that they had moved. This move is a huge problem for us as we are getting married in Musgrave and will not have time nor the money for the additional costs in respect of photographer and limo expenses to travel to Gateway on the day. When we approached Majestic about this and explained the situation Shiloh refused to assist or even compromise eventhough this problem arrose due to her studio moving without any notification from her that this was happening. We paid the full booking fee of R2900.00 up front in December and she refuses to refund us. We have even tried to compromise and suggested she keeps R1000.00 as a cancellation fee and refunds us the balance, she is not even willing to do this. She refuses to take responsibility for what her PA had assured us in April this year as she claims that this person is no longer employed with them and she is not responsible for what that person had stated. She also claims that as my fiancee has signed the indemnity form, that there will be no refund due to any circumstance (as stated in her indemnity form). She has also since taken it upon herself to cancel our booking due to the dispute.</p> <p> </p> <p>We are very dissapointed by the actions and behaviour of Shiloh and Majestic. We were never notified of the move and feel it is very unfair and unprofessional of her to hold us accountable for her unprofessional actions and behaviour. Be very careful when dealing with this company and don't sign anything until it has been explained properly and you agree on everything.</p>
