The Maintenance Man Mark Schilling: Incomplete work of poor quality and threatening behaviour

Mark Schilling of the Maintenance Man was appointed to do renovations on my new home. He provided a quote in two parts, first to do work on the existing house and second to convert some rooms into a cottage. Extra work which I have subsequently had valued at another 25% on the quote on the existing house was requested. I cancelled the work on the cottage when it appeared the work being done on the house was slow and of poor quality. I paid 94% of the total quoted (he requests 80% on appointment) for the main house (including the extra 25%), without half the work being completed, when Mr Schilling started requesting more money and embarked on threatening behavior when I refused further payment. I needed to bring in an attorney who formally cancelled all dealings between Mr Schilling and myself, with costs to me. I lost an enormous amount of money having to repair and complete much of the work he had done. This is not the first complaint against Mr Schilling posted on this platform. He has however had them removed. I am replacing my complaint in the interests of future clients.
