Atrocious

<p>The service we received was **********...</p> <p>The back door on one of our properties had to be replaced and our realtor organised for Maintenance Man in Durban to take our door down and replace it with a new door... Not long after that our tenants complained that the door that had been replaced was in fact broken. So our realtor got back in touch with the owner of the business Marc and requested that he fix the door that he was originally supposed to fix.</p> <p>He decided that he would charge us an extra R900 to do what he should have done in the first place. Our realtor stated that he had said that his company had fallen on hard times to which I rep**** that I am not unsymapthetic to his plight, but firstly, the job was not done properly to begin with, secondly, he is charging us what I think is a substantial amount to rectify HIS mistake and thirdly, I shouldn't have to pay for the fact that his company has fallen on hard times.</p> <p>After a lot of back and forth we decided that we had to consider the tenants who were in our home and decided to pay the amount as taking this up legally would really just cost us more than just paying the amount.</p> <p>He required a deposit before he started and this was transferred into his account. Without starting on the repairs, he then required the full amount. When this was not given to him he simply refused to do the repairs to the botched job he did in the first place. Someone else had to be hired to rectify the mess he created.</p> <p>All I have to say is this: The success of a business rests heavily on the ethical standards and integrity it holds itself to.</p> <p>Sadly, it would appear this company lacks these qualities that are fundamental basics...</p> <p>Shame on you!</p>
