Mahindra East Rand Shady Business Practices: Selling 2 customers 1 vehicle

I went to view a vehicle at Mahindra East Rand and was told that the vehicle is available. I proceeded and submitted all required paperwork and got a call from the dealership the next day to say finance has been approved but the vehicle has been sold to someone else.

I wrote an email to the dealership to enquire as to how multiple applications can be processed from different customers on the same vehicle at the same time and when all of them are approved at the same time (as it happened in this situation), then how do they decide which customer must get the vehicle?

Feedback received from Ryan Drake the manager at the branch was that this is standard business practice for them and they will just continue and look for another vehicle for me.

I find this business practise to be strange and hope that future customers will be treated better and with a little bit of dignity than I was treated.
