My Mahindra XUV300 gave problems last year, the rev counter drop to zero and the steering had no control, I took the car to Mahindra centurion and when I went to collect my car, I ran into a technician and I said thank goodness it was fixed and you replaced the sensor. The technician said, oh, your car was out of warranty and we replaced with a secondhand sensor. I flipped , to hear this that they replaced with a secondhand sensor and phone the service manager the next day. She then said we'll if you want a new one here is a quote. They never asked or phone or said upfront they replacing with a secondhand sensor. In 2026 I took my car for a service and I was asked if everything is still fine, which it was. This weekend 1 Aug on the freeway going to JHB, the car did exactly the same. I booked the car in for 4 Aug 2026 for them to assess again. They then rep**** after a hole day of assessing and said the battery is swollen and faulty and will only attend to the car once I replace the battery. This morning 5 Aug 2026 after contacting the headoffice of first Battery, I took the car in for them to assess the battery. The report shows the battery is 100% and nothing wrong. I then contacted Mahindra Centurion and Chris the manager phoned me back. He says he knows everything about batteries and First Battery is wrong. So, last year it was the sensor, this year it's the battery, what or who will it be next problem beside Mahindra that cant find the fault. Please can someone explain why it's a wild goose chase, blame shifting instead of finding out what is the issue. Very very disappointed. Mahindra SA, please assist or anyone else. HELP???? Now 5 aug 2025 at 10h25 they tell me it's an incorrect battery...wow. wild goose chase again...why did they not pick it up yesterday as Chris the manager said he knows everything about batteries.wild goose chase again.

I bought a new Mahindra XUV 3XO 7AL a few months ago from this dealership. It still has less than 3k on the odo. A few days ago, the steering wheel suddenly locked - while I was driving - followed by all kinds of warnings and errors, such as "Check ESP", "Automatic Emergency Braking Disabled", "Hill Descent Control Error", etc. I managed to force the vehicle to the side of the road and switched it off. But with every subsequent "ignition on" the steering wheel remained locked and the warnings/errors kept popping up. As if the on-board computer has lost it. Eventually the car was towed to the dealership and I was taken home. The real concerning part was the vague feedback I got the next day upon picking up the vehicle. Neither the service consultant, nor the mechanic who worked on the car, could give me a transparent, logical explanation or root cause. Just something about "cleaning ports/contacts". This sparked a memory just after I bought the vehicle. I had a tow bar installed, but after a few days, a rattling noise caught my attention. It turned out that the tow bar was never properly fastened. The fact that I almost lost a tow bar along the way, as well as the steering column locking up mid-drive, already made me on edge about the vehicle. The vagueness from the dealership only underscored my unease. On top of this, the mechanic suggested that I disconnect the battery if this happens again. Is this not something one is exactly nót supposed to do? At this point I am half scared to drive too far from home, and I have low confidence in the dealership's service department. I like the vehicle, but something about the above does not add up. I will be monitoring this, and them, very closely. This is not what one would expect from a brand new vehicle, nor the dealership that sold it.

They were super helpfull and friendly and they helped me secure my sale withing one day of contacting them. Johan Meiring and Jean Badenhorst are a dream team and I definitively reccomend using them for your next car buy.
