Ghost employer

My husband passed away and I am trying to submit a UIF claim for the death benefit. On handing in the documentation after two days in a que I was told that I can not claim UIF as he is working for Madini Mining who shows up as his employer UIF Number ***/0 and PAYE no ***.

He has never in his life worked for this company and I can not find any contact number or information with regard to this company to try and get this problem resolved. The person answering the phone on the number listed on the internet says it is a private number and he does not know anything about his number being used.

How does this happen and how am I supposed to sort this problem?? His current employer who actually contributes toward the UIF does not even show??? How am I now supposed to get this fixed?? Is there anybody with information with regard to this company and how does this happen that someone that does not even contribute towards the UIF shows as the employer. Surely the company contributing towards the UIF fund should be the one linked to a ID. I seriously need help to get this problem resolved
