VALIDITY OF ROADWORTHY CERTIFICATES

VALIDITY OF ROADWORTHY CERTIFICATES On 20 May 2020, a directive was issued by Dept of Transport, which outlined the validity of motor vehicle licences , which extended to ROADWORTHY CERTIFICATES as well. The latest regulations stated that all documentation that expired between 26 March and 31 May would be extended for 90 days from 1 June 2020.

HOWEVER, Licencing Offices are not accepting this directive. They are acting in contravention of the directive which was published in the Government Gazette Vol 659, Issue No 43339. Licencing Offices are refusing to accept Roadworthy Certificates which expired during the above period, and are insisting that they receive a new Roadworthy Certificate.

How is this to be addressed? I am certain the Licence Offices cannot simply decide what they want to do?
