Lucky draw *****

Madame Zingara asked guest to place business cards in DHL boxes for a Sun City trip lucky draw. They held a draw, but afterwards I ckecked the boxes and they had not even removed the business cards! Is the whole thing a hoax to gather contact info for later spamming?
