The evening was disappointing in that the venue was so over crowed that sitting in our private booth, we were wedged between the table and the back of the seat. I believe that the owners have broken all the rules of the fire safety department with so many people jam packed into one room could never have escaped an emergency. As a result, the kitchen could not cope with the food and we were served our main course at 10h40. To start with there were three rolls for a table of 6. By the time the main course arrived I was so annoyed and it was so late, I hardly felt like eating. Then the disappointment of what arrived. Pieces of beef, some pure sinew and inedible, swimming in chocolate chilli sauce. The vegetables were cold, soggy and tastelss. Their accounting is just as shoddy. One couple left early and paid a third of the bill yet they brought the full bill to the table. The photographer charges R100 so R300 for 3 pictures and they were all slightly blurred. The show was 20 min late because the kitchen could not cope and everybody ended up with taxi problems. This was not your first show Madam Zingara....just not good enough.
