MACWAVE in Cape Town

I bought a charger for my Macbook for R900 from MACWAVE in Cape Town with a 3 month warranty. I expected it to last at least for a year or so as I am abouth to buy another Macbook. It lasted exactly for a week after the warranty expired. Upon querying, I was typically told that "...we can't do anything as the warranty has expired..." That's it.... STAY AWAY!

Good day,

MacWave has a policy of price discounts on out of warranty goods. In Mac Chargers, we stock original and generic chargers, Clients are given a choice between the two, and in most cases tend to choose the cheaper one (Generic). while we are sure of our original chargers, the generic ones may not be as good as the original one even though they are Grade A generic.

Power adapters have limited warranties because we cant control its current. However we usually help a client out of warranty by availing him with another one at 1/2 price. Power Adapter Supplier nolonger give more than one month warranty but we still insist on our 3 months warranty with a possible solution if a problem happens even after warranty.

Unless, you insist on not paying anything at all, thats where there can be a problem Sir. That means we cannot help you at all.

regards,

Jamal

Few important points: 1. NO choice was given. 2. DON'T stock items that die imeediately AFTER warranty because "the current can't be controlled." It's bad for your reputation and business. 3. Your help line was useless. She simply said "sorry your'e out of warranty". I have the email to prove it. NO offer of 1/2 price. 4. The original lasted for almost 6 years. You CANNOT sell something that will last for 3 months.... 5. I just bought another one with a 12 month warranty at R300 less than your original price.
