I lived at Giney’s Place, The Reeds, Centurion, and my experience was extremely disappointing, especially regarding security. My home was broken into while I was inside. Laptops, a PlayStation and belongings were ******, as was my vehicle. They then locked us inside and took our house keys, including the gate remote. We only realised something was wrong after our tracker alerted us. The burglar bars did not appear to be forced or broken; they appeared to have been unlocked. I cannot say how access was gained. The gate motor/control box was also left unlocked, and staff/garden personnel had access to keys. There had also been a previous attempted break-in. I understand it is not a security complex, but basic access control should still be expected. Macprop’s response was disappointing. Charmaine was extremely rude and told me that if I did not feel safe, I should simply move out. Macprop has since refunded my deposit and rent. This review is about the lack of security. I would not live there again.
