Very Unhappy

I bought three Galaxy G8 Mid Back Chairs through Macphersons Office Furniture on 21/10/2024. I've noticed a very hard "clicking" noise when sitting down on all of the chairs (not just one chair). Please keep in mind that I do not 'fall' down in my chair, I sit down gently. We've been in communication with Macphersons about the issue since 17/10/2025, but their final communication to us was that we had the chairs for approximately one year and that there were no issues prior to that. They said that this is not related to a warranty, which is against faulty workmanship and defective materials. Apparently, the supplier that checked the chairs says nothing is wrong with the chairs and that there will be a noise when pushing up against the back of the backrest in the locked position. They further said the backrest is not designed to have pressure put on it, but merely to support the back. We were also previously asked about the weight of each person using these chairs. The maximum weight limit allowed on these chairs are 120kg each. We are all way below the maximum weight limit of these chairs. These chairs are causing great embarrassment when seeing clients, as it now feels like we are overweight when sitting down in our chairs in front of our clients. Unfortunately, we feel that we haven't received satisfactory service or help from the supplier to fix or replace the chairs, which is unfair seeing that we had to pay huge amounts to buy these chairs. Just to give you an idea, I paid approximately R3000 per chair. I have also bought some office chairs at a large chain store for approximately R1000 per chair and have NEVER gotten the same problem with the cheaper chairs. I am very unsatisfied and unhappy about the purchase and the service I've gotten from buying these chairs.
