MacMac Irrigation Nightmare

⚠️ Don’t make the same mistake I did — my experience with MacMac Irrigation was a nightmare 👇 I hired Martyn from MacMac Irrigation, recommended as a “nice young man,” to connect a JoJo tank on my roof to a borehole my neighbours had been using, which we were now going to share. He assured me it would work, but he is afraid of heights, so the roof connection was left to his team. Soon after, pipes at my neighbours’ property burst because the pipes were too small, leaving us with no water in the house and poor garden pressure. The stop valve overflowed, the pump was uncovered, and the JoJo filling was unbearably loud. I even sent videos showing pipes about to burst, forcing us to switch off the system. He asked for R10,000 extra to silence the JoJo, made a makeshift fix with bricks and another motor, and installed a link meter, saying I was his first client for it — it failed immediately. I offered a fair way to end this, suggesting he come repair the system or take back the motor and materials in exchange for a 50% refund, but he ignored my calls, and nothing was fixed. My landscaper eventually got hold of him, but still nothing was repaired. A new company installed a garden JoJo and pump, and are now removing the roof JoJo and repiping everything properly. From day one, we’ve had full water pressure. I’ve spent over R80,000 fixing the problems caused by Martyn. He refuses to take responsibility. Avoid MacMac Irrigation — I truly wish I had checked reviews first.
