RCI Bush lodge shocker
This review refers to the BushTime section of the lodge which is part of RCI. We had booked into Leopard lodge. The room had not been cleaned before our arrival. We found all manner of filth including excreta (probably animal). We booked ourselves elsewhere overnight to allow for the cleaning. The main bed bathroom had a leak in the ceiling from a leaking geyser. The last straw was when someone tried to break into our unit while we were asleep. We checked out the next morning, spending only 2 nights out of a possible 7. Why this lodge is still part of RCI, heaven knows. The Private Lodge part of the reserve must be distinguished from the above. This part looked much better and had excellent facilities. The Boma dinner is a must and the restaurant serves excellent food. There was a particular restaurant staff member who was very unfriendly. We arrived ten minutes before closure of the lunch and breakfast and she was very hesitant to let us in. Luckily the chefs intervened on both occasions.
