Mabula Game Reserve's Kwafubesi Tented Camp very disappointing.

April 2021: Booked to stay at Mabula's Kwafubesi tented camp for a few days. Drove to Mabula Game Lodge and was then taken to Kwafubesi. Not allowed to drive yourself there, so if any problem you'd have to call for the game drive vehicle to fetch you. This was NOT communicated on booking and not even when we booked in at the Lodge. There was ample space to park next to each tent. Communication was very poor. We were not told what was billable and what wasn't. They just billed us for things we had no idea we had to pay for. Items were added randomly to any of the 5 tents so we got a bill for "Rhino" when we were staying in "Leopard". In our tent the loo seat was a cheap one, where the veneer was partially torn off and obviously very unhygenic. The shower was an in-bath one where the water splashed all over the floor and on trying to clean it up, we found that the floor was actually quite dirty. None of the guests had any idea of the times for meals or game drives. One game drive had 10 guests plus driver on board - every seat taken and hence no social distancing at all. The last morning was raining and we were told when we got back to Kwafubesi that there was no power or water so had to pack up quickly to be transported back to Mabula lodge. We asked the guide / driver where to go for breakfast and he pointed to the lodge and said "there". All-in-all a very disappointing experience. We will not go back.
