Mabu restaurant in waterfall.Their standard has dropped so badly. We were celebrating my twins graduations but service was so poor. The waiters ignored us for 30 minutes & my partner had to complain for them to attend to us. Next the food took forever to arrive & when it did starters & the main course were served at the same time. The managers seemed clueless about their role in customer care😲

We recently dined at Mabu Restaurant and had a mixed experience. We ordered the Traditional Steak from Mumbles, inspired by the historic oyster fishing village in Swansea, South Wales. The dish featured a 300g fillet stuffed with smoked oysters and cheese, wrapped in Parma ham, served with mashed potatoes and a whisky sauce. While the concept sounded exciting, the execution fell a bit flat. The steak itself was decent, but the whisky sauce was quite average and overall the dish didn’t feel worth the price point. We also shared a sushi platter, which was unfortunately underwhelming. The portions were small and the flavours were fairly average, especially considering expectations for a restaurant of this calibre. That said, Mabu truly shines in other areas. The vibes, aesthetics, and ambiance were excellent, and the service was attentive and friendly, which definitely elevated the overall experience. It’s a great spot for atmosphere and a relaxed night out, but the food didn’t fully live up to the setting. Overall: Great service and ambiance, but the food needs more consistency and value for money.
