Leaving a 1 star rating because i cant leave a zero star rating. This is also an edit of a past review i left 2 years ago. Mabika Travel & Leisure, as well as Xolani Mabika, are both ****s & ****mers. They will ***** your money & then Xolani will hide out in KZN & claim that he has no communication because of network issues.

If you want to book a holiday & want it to be special, dont use Mabika Travel & Leisure. Your holiday will be everything, but special. Having used them before, i entrusted them with a vacation with my cousins, to Harties. They gave us a quote, which we started paying from May 2025 & the last payment was made on 10 December 2025.

That is when the nightmare began, mind you, Xolani Mabika has been reminding us monthly to make payments. Once we finished, we started asking for booking confirmations & an itinerary. Xolani has been quiet since. We made another request on 14 December 2025, Xolani remained quiet. We then went to his office & were told hes not around, & that he waa in kzn. At this point, i still trusted him because ive used his services before, why would he not deliver? Little did i know.

We started calling him daily. At this point, i still had understanding for him because he has network issues, but it started looking like he was using the network thing as an excuse because he was not delivering.

I did a search on his business & personal social media & found his associate Mlungisi Shabalala. I then reached out to him for assistance & he showed a willingness to help. He made empty promises & you could tell that there was no communication between him & Xolani whatsoever.

We received the booking confirmation on Sunday, 28 December 2025 & our trip was booked for 29 December 2025.

Come Monday, the day of the trip. The driver tells us he was only notified on Saturday about this trip. That was another red flag. We drove to Seasons & upon arrival, we were notified that the family house was indeed booked but only for ONE night, when we paid for 29 Dec to 02 Jan. But still, his card declined & our accommodation was NOT paid. All of a sudden, now hes reachable on his phone & has no explanation but that he will give us a refund.

Now we are stranded without a plan. He promised us to give us back our money on Wednesday, 31 Dec 2025, at 2pm. That came & went. Today is 02 Jan 2026 & he still has not refunded us.

It is now a legal issue for us to get a refund & will report him to the police. Please be aware of Mabika Travel & Leisure & Xolani Mabika. Book with him at your own risk.
