TSHWENE NR 74 MABILINGWE PRIVATE OWNER.

We booked through booking. com a house in Mabilingwe called Bush Dream. On our arrival at Mabilingwe the receptionist a older woman send us away 20 km further to Mabula because the house does not exist in Mabilingwe. She did not even try to open the computer to look for the house or the booking . She badmouth one of her colleagues and rolled her eyes. We drove the 20km to Mabula and stop in front of the gate but they did not give us access to enter because the house we booked was not in Mabula but in Mabilingwe. I phone the rude unhelpful lady at Mabilingwe reception again and the confirm once again the house is in Mabula. Three hours later we still did not know where the house called Bush Dream was. A lady called Caroline, Johanna, and Melissa went the extra mile to assist us in looking for the house. Mabula does not take any bookings from booking.com. but they contacted booking com and made various calls with our booking nr for assistance. Meanwhile we repeatedly try to contact the owner. We went back to Mabilingwe after booking.com phones us all the way from England. The owner Lynette Van Schalkwyk did not bother to call us back after numerious calls. It was past 16h00 on a Sunday and still we could not find the house we booked. We called Lynette again 24 min past 4 and eventually she picked up her phone. After a long explanation informing us the house was not ready she 1st booked us in, house nr 71, while we were busy on the line talking to her she changed her mind and send us to Tshwene house nr 74 . Please take in mind that Mabilingwe does not have anything to do with this booking, because this is a private owner. Upon our arrival at the house there were so many things not in place. The cleaner was still there and she promised to make the beds of the loft. That never happened. We could not sleep in the loft because of the bad oudor from the drain. In the house the following was damadge or broken. There was almost no serving dishes, no proper glasses and not enough cutlery and everything was old and disfunctional. The sink tap were loose and leaking. The fridge was warm and we could not keep our food and drinks cold in the terrible heat. The bed lamps did not work, the towel on the bed smells like baby vomit. The ceiling fans did not work properly. The fridge in the lounge was leveled by a piece of a axe handle and pieces of stones. When we opened the door about 6 beaverages fell out due to instability and broke in pieces The ceiling fan in one of the rooms did not work at all. The deskfan totally in operative. The DSTV or TV was not working The build in braai with a very twisted pan and no grid was not on standard. If you switch on the light switch the whole braai was electrified. The bauma braai was in pieces and we could not braai there. The mats in the loft's shower was very dirty. There were no complimantary toiletries as stated in the ad. Lynette Van Schalkwyk gave us a Game Viewing Vehicle for all our inconvenience The vehicle was delivered and we were promised a full tank of fuel after it was repaired . The fuel guage is not working. The vehicle stopped due to a empty tank . We wait about hour with two children in the middle of the bush for somebody to bring the fuel. Later that day a guest inform us about the presence of Elephants at the Elephant Bush camp. We drove there and next to us we saw the signage of the Bush Dream House. All of this could be avoided if she made sure the iriginal house we booked was ready This 5 days was suppose to be our dream vacation . We booked this place because my children immigrated and we were suppose to bonded the last few days in SA with my daughter my Son in law and my only twe grand children. Thank you Lynette for ruining our 5 days
