Bad customer service
Terrible customer service, they do not even try to assist, if you want to throw money on the drain take up a contract with them

Mkopa Is Destroying My Credit Score
Someone got a phone with mkopa using my id . Now I have a credit of over R4000 and im trying to clear my name they just keep saying that I dont owe anything yet my credit score is being damaged .

M-kopa Cape Town Khayelitsha Next To Boxer
Unhappy😡Customer On 7 July 2026 I lost my phone on a taxi when I was coming from work and I got home and I called to ask them to block it for me also wanted info on how to retrieve/claim other phone since the sales agents Sisanda and her manager told me when I bought the phone it was insured. I called and told them what happened they said the phone was blocked I must wait for 48 hours for a ITC number so that I can go and make an affidavit so that I can place a claim but what was funny this time they changed their story telling me that they don't have insurance for their phones what they have is device protection and I must bring R600 to claim other phone while they didn't say that at first when they were telling me about T&C when I was buying the phone. Cutting the story short it's been 4 days after I called them even now I haven't got the ITC number and they are running around not picking up my calls even the call center they are telling me that they don't see any account named under my name but I've been pay for 5 months. Am starting to believe what people have been saying about M-kopa that it's a ****! Their services are poor and they can't deal with customers what they are fast to do is being hush and rude.

East london branch service
East London service is so bad, the consultants are not professional at all, they don't give you full information and give you attitude if you don't understand something. East London branch no customer service at all and the communication is bad

M-kopa not refunding me.
I strongly feel that M-kopa is unprofessional when it comes to the service to their customers..i returned one off their smartphones when i no longer had the finance to pay after job loss..And they told me they will refund my device deposit in 48 hours and now it has been more than 4 days..when i enquire they give me the run around asking all sorts of weird information request and not giving me a straight response on why they have not refunded me as yet...So to me its clear they dont want to refund me..They making useless excuses....

Disgruntled Customer
On 07 July 2024, I bought a cell phone from M-Kopa, and during September 2025, the phone went blank, and it would not switch on. On 7 September 2025, I sent it for repairs to their local store. On 4 October 2025, I went to collect my phone from the local store, where I was told it was not fixed because the repair costs are higher than the market value of the device. I enquired about the next step available, which is the replacement of the device, as it is still on a 24-month warranty, and I was to visit the repair center, as they could not assist with the next process. I have been calling their offices in Brynston to no avail. Additionally, I have been on their chatboard platform with no assistance at all. I am frustrated as it is, as I do not have a phone to attend to my personal and work needs. I need this matter resolved; otherwise, I will be left with no option but to escalate a formal complaint with, O, as this is a violation of my consumer rights in terms of the CPA.

Worst service ever! I requested for a paid up letter last month and they sent one with an incorrect name and ID, called them to rectify this and I was told I’d get the letter by COB it’s been 2 days now I still don’t have the letter
