FORMAL COMPLAINT AND DISPUTE REGARDING INACCURATE INFORMATION CREDIT INFORMATION

I am writing to formally dispute the information that has been reported to the credit bureaus in respect of my account with L&M Attorneys.

My credit report currently reflects an amount of R333,654 as my monthly instalment. This information is incorrect.

My agreed monthly repayment is R1,200.00 per month. I have attached a copy of the DebiCheck SMS received from L&M Attorneys confirming that a R1,200.00 debit was submitted to my Absa account.

The credit report appears to be treating the outstanding debt/balance of R333,654 as my monthly instalment. These are not the same thing. My actual monthly repayment is R1,200.

This incorrect reporting is seriously affecting my credit profile and, in particular, my affordability assessment, because it makes it appear that I am required to pay R333,654 every month when this is not the repayment arrangement agreed with L&M Attorneys.
