Refund Request
If I could theme a zero I would, the experience with these people has been very frustrating. I’ve been attempting to get a refund from them for months now. I have written numerous emails with absolutely no response. I received a call earlier from the person whom I have been emailing and he apologised for the miscommunication as apparently he doesn’t deal with the refunds for students. And yet not once did he feel the need to reply to one of my numerous emails stating that he is indeed not the correct contact person. I am currently feeling as if they are trying to get out of refunding me as I placed my studies on hold and wanted to resume it this year February. Also noting I paid 70% of my fees via debit order every month and I did not even get a chance to start my studies as I did not have the capacity at the time. Initially I wanted to cancel and request a refund then already and I was advised I may not cancel, I then opted to place my studies on hold until I could start. When I wanted to start my studies again I was met with no response once again. The college has since been deregistered by the department of education and I then opted for a full refund instead of continuing my studies with them for obvious reasons. I am now being given the run around and I fear they are now looking for loopholes not to refund me for studies I never started or was able to restart with. The lack of communication is appalling and extremely unprofessional. I am in contact with them via email and Facebook daily and I have had one person attempting to escalate my query and to assist me to the best of his ability, mind you he too was ignored and he works for the institution. He is called Sinako, he’s really been the only one keeping me sane throughout this gruelling and difficult experience. Essentially my life is on hold now as I am unable to proceed with my studies with a different institution as Lyceum has taken it upon themselves to interrogate their students and shift the blame as we are now facing this dilemma which we as students did not cause. Lyceum should refund all of the students who no longer consider their institution reliable, it is after all the least they could do since they are no longer registered due to non compliance.
