We booked this place for my sister's 40th bday as well as her husband's 'last holiday' as he is very ill with cancer. She booked the full house option with everything supposedly being included. Which was not the case. After speaking to the guy who claims is the owner, Mr Snyman, about this and asking what arrangement can be made, maybe discount on the alcohol, seeing that she paid R100 000 for the weekend, he threw us out! We told him that we will not leave, seeing that everything was paid in full beforehand and that we came from far and that her husband is basically on his last bit of life and it was 17h00 on a Friday afternoon, he yelled that he doesn't care and that he does not want us in his lodge and that we should go immediately! We were all dumbstruck with this guys' attitude and could not believe our ears - after being closed during lockdown for 5 months and no income, this is the way you get treated. He even requested the game drive vehicle to come back with our guests that was on the vehicle. He requested his staff to gather all our luggage from the rooms and be taken to the main gate. With all this happening it made the whole experience utterly terrible. There were other guest as well (not part of our group) that had the same situation. The staff are very friendly and helpful and goes out of their way to assist you in every way possible and to give you the experience you pay for. The rooms are extremely clean and beautiful, but unfortunately the 'owner' ruined our entire experience that was suppose to be exciting with memories made.
