Oakley polarised sunglasses - defective design

I purchased a pair of Oakley changeover nightfall polarised grey/stripes and I'm quite disappointed as they are now scratched because of the way they are stored in the pouch, basically the arms that fold in have scratched the lenses. This is unfortunate as I really love these sunglasses and the fact that they polarised too. The design maybe have to be reassessed as mine is practically still new but scratched already so there is definitely a flaw, what makes it worse is that I've been informed that the sunglasses are discontinued and they cannot be replaced which is so ridiculous because the damage was not self inflicted and I feel like I am worse off because I don't have my polarised sunglasses at all. Please advise what needs to happen in this regard. I am not happy as the sunglasses are relatively new and the frame is in perfect condition. Besides this after taking it into eye Q as instructed they offering me another pair with a discount of only 20% this is ridiculous as the sunglasses are over 2k it seems like you are being inflexible and I am receiving the worst end of the bargain especially when my sunglasses still have a warranty!
