Cross Pen has never worked properly

Good day, My husband bought a Cross pen for me for my birthday but from the first day, the pen has not worked properly. It is as if the ink does not flow through the nib which creates a bad writing experience as only some of the letters come out on the paper. We sent the pen for repair and we paid for the repair and the courier which came to about R900 but the pen still does not work properly. For an exquisite writing instrument, this is quite disappointing especially given the fact that the pen is quite pricey. We would appreciate your feedback in this regard.
