Disappointing meal

On Thursday 6th September 2019, we travelled from Hillcrest to Umhlanga as we had booked into the a beach resort till Sunday. Considering all the choices one has in Umhlanga to go for dinner, we chose Lupa. I have never had a bad experience at other Lupa’s both Johannesburg and Hillcrest. We ordered the fish, a tagliatelle Alfredo, focaccia and a salad. Well out salad never arrived the Alfredo was sent back as not cooked properly, the salad never arrived and the fish was so bad my daughter sent it back and granted they took it off the menu but the aftermath of what transpired was beyond pleasant. My daughter was sick the following morning and in between bathroom and bed with food poisoning. I went to pharmacy twice and came into your restaurant and expressed my dismay and asked what they were willing to do to compensate. I told the manager at the time I had been to the pharmacy twice now - he asked me for my slips and I told him I only have the recent one. Based on that one I was given R100. I just want to say I paid for the dinner the night before and the whole experience ruined our plans for the rest of the weekend. The least Lupa should have offered was a meal voucher rather than have the insult to ask for my pharmacy receipts. It was only on my second walk to pharmacy did I feel perhaps it was time to let Lupa know the stress my daughter was going through.
