Luno customer support not helping

I accidently sent crypto on the bsc chain to my luno wallet, luno only supports erc20.

I did a lot of research and I can actually retrieve my funds if I can import my luno wallet into a crypto wallet like metamask.

Metamask supports both bsc chain and erc20.

Luno is the only wallet that refuses to supply me with my seed phrase as this is what I need to import my wallet which contains MY FUNDS.

Furthermore I interacted with three different agents on the luno app. It is clear that Luno hires people to work in customer support who has no understanding of crypto.

I realise that using the wrong chain cost me my funds, it is just sad that retrieving my funds would actually be really easy if Luno would supply me with my wallet’s seed phrase or help me import my wallet into my metamask wallet.

I have been using luno for over 5 years and this is the first time that I had an experience where Luno refused to help me find a solution to the problem.

I am very dissapointed.

Hi,

I hope you are well.

Binance created its blockchains (transfer networks) for its customers to send crypto quicker, being the Binance Chain (BNB) and the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) (BEP20/BEP2) tokens.

These blockchains aren’t integrated with the Luno platform. If you send crypto from Binance to Luno using either of the two, we won’t be able to access the funds and return them to you. If the incorrect transfer network is used, your funds will be lost.

Below is a list of coins and corresponding networks to use when sending crypto from Binance to Luno:
- Bitcoin (BTC): BTC
- Bitcoin Cash (BCH): BCH
- Ethereum (ETH): ERC20
- Litecoin (LTC): LTC
- Ripple (XRP): XRP
- USD Coin (USDC): ERC20
- Chainlink (LINK): ERC20
- Uniswap (UNI): ERC20
- USD Tether (USDT): ERC-20

Luno currently only supports the cryptocurrencies listed above. Sending any other coins to Luno will result in the loss of your funds. Also, please make sure you’re sending the correct cryptocurrencies to your Luno wallet, e.g. you can only send ETH to your Ethereum wallet, etc.

For more info on the correct transfer networks to use, check out our Help Centre article here and here.

If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
