Hi Carolina,

Thanks for following up on this matter.

We would also like to help you continue exploring the evolving world of crypto safely. I've put together a few of our Help Centre articles on account security and cryptocurrency ****s below:

Here are a few important points to remember:

  • Luno is not affiliated with any third-party organizations, trading, and/or investment schemes. Additionally, we do not offer any trading or financial advice.
  • There are no guaranteed returns from investing in cryptocurrency.
  • Once you send cryptocurrency out of your Luno wallet, the transaction is permanent and irreversible.
  • Exchanges do not set the prices of cryptocurrency. The price of cryptocurrency is unpredictable and constantly changing.

If you'd like to learn more about cryptocurrency and how it works, we've covered the basics in our Learning Portal. And though we don't provide investment advice, you might find some useful information in these blog posts:

**** Test:

If you're not quite certain if the person you're working with is legit, kindly refer to this quick **** test:

  • Someone contacted me on social media and is offering me big returns in a short time frame by trading forex,  binary options, or currencies.
  • My trader/broker is asking me to pay for a “cost of transfer”, taxes, or any other fee in order to access my “profits”.
  • I’m encouraged to recruit mo e people into an investment program, as I’ll earn an income from their investment. This is a pyramid scheme, which requires you to find new participants in order to generate investment returns.
  • I met the love of my life online, and they’ve asked me to send them money or cryptocurrency.
  • A famous person is giving away cryptocurrencies if I send them a small amount first.

If any of this sounds fami****, you are possibly being ****med. Your money is at risk and we recommend you do not continue sending money.

We look forward to hearing from you and resolving the matter as soon as possible.
