DO NOT INVEST WITH LUNO
I want to warn potential investors NOT TO INVEST WITH LUNO. I had several thousand Rand lying in my Luno Bitcoin account. I left it there so that it would grow as the Bitcoin would increase in price. I did not go into my account for the past 2 to 3 years. About a month ago I received a mail from Luno requesting that I increase my security. I thereafter received a call from an African gentleman who said that he would walk me through the process. I found this action to be rather suspicious. The man sounded as though he had a Nigerian accent. I accused him of being a Nigerian and told him that I did not want to talk to him and cut the connection. He phoned me back and said that he was employed by Luno and wanted to assist me. I told him that I was not interested in talking to him. He became rather aggressive. I cut the connection and looked for Luno's email address online. I wrote to them to complain about this man. A short while later another man, Indian sounding accent, phoned me. He said that he received my email and wanted to assist me. He walked me through he process of enhancing the security on my account. I then found out that ALL of my savings had been pilferred from my account. I have been in touch with Luno but all they keep doing is making excuses. I am certain that some people at Luno are in cahoots with outside **********.

After I had written to them bringing to their attention that someone had contacted me. The second Indian sounding man confirmed that he had received my mail and was responding to it to assist me with the security setup. After he had assisted me the money disappeared from my account.
How am I to know who is legitimate and who is not? Especially after the second man read the content of my email to me, which I had sent to their email address which I had found on the web?
I have requested Luno to refund my money as it was removed from my account without my permission or request. All that they have done is make excuses. I was told by one of their employees that they do not have insurance for such losses. This is incredibly irresponsible.
In my opinion, there are very clever computer programmers around who could devise a way in which to prevent this from happening. They obviously are too useless to employ the services of a well-qualified person to attend to this pilfering. Another way in which this can be prevented is by obtaining confirmation from the investor that the funds should be transferred. I suppose that that is far too much trouble for them.
