Beware ******* claiming to be from Luno
I actually have no rating because I am not signed up with Luno. However, this morning I received the following SMS: "Your Luno Account is not active, Click https://bit.ly/3cduxX7 to Update and avoid Account Profile locked". It is signed "Luno Team" and there's a cellphone number: ***. Of course, I have tried calling this number several times but no reply. I have also tried to call Luno but there's no contact number. It took me a while to find a way to email Luno because you have to be signed up with Luno to be able to lodge a complaint. The old way of calling a company is the most efficient way, clearly. I finally found a way to lodge this message with Luno. I hope that the ******* will be caught; I hate being harassed this way and feel it best to report this ***** any way I can.

The SMS you received was not sent by Luno. It appears to be a phishing SMS. Phishing is a form of ***** in which the attacker poses as a reputable company, in this case, Luno, and tries to ***** information such as your sign-up credentials or account information.
Please take a screenshot of the SMS and send any attachments/links that it may contain to *** for us to investigate further. Please do not tap on any of the links, or download the attachments. Note that you will not receive a reply from that email address.
