Beware of L'Unique Persians & Exotics

I bought a persian kitten from Johan van Eeden for R7.500.00 (including flight). The day before delivery the breeder(above) had still failed to give me the birth date of the kitten plus a few other important details concerning the kitten. I never ever spoke to him verbally, all communication was via WhatsApp and I have full details of everything that we communicated to each other. Mr van Eeden became irritated because I said a trust problem was developing between us. He requested my bank details for a FULL refund followed by a contract cancellation! Then he renaged on his word and said he would "refund the balance if R3,000 when he found a new potential buyer"!!! But he cancelled the contract himself! And I have the proof. I consulted an attorney and van Eeden was served with a demand letter to remit the outstanding R3,000 within 10 days. Tomorrow 14th September is his deadline. Time will tell if he pays tomorrow or if I take further legal action against this narcissistic man. In my almost 40 years of buying persian cats from registered breeders, never have I experienced such an appalling disregard and disrespect for another person's money and one's own word. I have informed the various cat register bodies/ councils of my experience with this man and his business.
