Manufacturing Fault - Lulu Belle

A pair of high-end costume jewellery was purchased at the end of 2013. At the end of 2014 the item had only been worn thrice to three events, and cracked in half. Calls were made to the store who then subsequently offered little or no help. And advised that they would try to fix the item, the customer also enquired with various external suppliers as to whether the item could be fixed, at which point it was concluded that it couldn't be. I, the customer, then called in to say that the item couldn't be fixed and that the person who purchased it on my behalf, would be returning the item.

At which point the Lulu Belle staff and branch manager offered a repeat in service to when the calls were previously made. i.e. A devil-may-care attitude and general demeanor of helplessness saying that there was nothing they could do and listing various excuses. As a store selling high-end costume jewellery the onus rests with the store to replace manufacturing faulted item/s. Particularly if care instructions were adhered to by the customer, and particularly if the customer is constantly spending triple the amount in price for items that could be bought at half the price at alternative stores.
