Lulalend - bumbling, incoherent incompetence.
When studying my credit report, I found that Lulalend had done no less than 7 credit enquiries on me personally on Compuscan. On 20 June alone they did 3.
I am not a client of Lulalend, nor did I give them permission to do a credit check on me. As a matter of fact, I had never even heard of Lulalend before studying my latest credit report.
I phoned them and explained the situation to a telephone consultant. I received some bumbling incoherent explanation about I must have done an application for credit, blah, blah, blah, fishpaste...
I explained to her that I had not app**** for credit, neither in personal capacity nor in the name of a business. When it was clear she had no plausible explanation except glaring incompetence, we were suddenly cut of.
I phoned again, and explained to the new consultant what had happened and demanding an explanation. I was met with the same bumbling, incoherent incompetence and was promptly cut off again.
In terms of the PoPI Act a consumer needs to give consent for any person to request your credit report. I did not give such consent.
A consumer's credit rating is adversly affected if more than six enquiries per credit bureau is done in a year. Lunalend did 7 on me personally in 14 days. Lulalend did a credit search on me without my knowledge and consent.
