Unequal treatment towards black passengers.

From Cape Town International Airport, I was assisting my sister with her check-in to Latin America(Paraguay).

1 - My sister was asked for a transit VISA to Brazil. As she cannot articulate properly in English, I responded on her behalf explaining that a transit VISA is not required for passengers who do not leave the transit zone or transit for more than 6 hours. I was completely ignored and told that am not the passenger and that she should speak for herself even though the language barrier was clear. 2 - After over an hour of back and forth, the story changed, and my sister was told that her Paraguayan VISA is expired. She was given a 30 days VISA, issued on the 28th of June. The VISA is explicitly noted that it is valid for 6 months. The staff implicitly suspected that the VISA might be **** and asked that we now need to have an official letter from the embassy confirming that the VISA is still valid.

After all, the lady requested that my sister is offloaded and handed us the passport.

When I approached, she said that I am not the passenger, ignored us, and walked away.

If this is not ****** then I guess I need to go back to Interpretation classes!

Furthermore, it was not me, but at the same time, I noticed someone else going through complications during check-in because he was asked for the documents submitted during the VISA application.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A VISA?

I really wish we could leave in a world where people are treated equally.
