SHOCKING experience with Lufthansa staff.

SHOCKINGLY bad experience. Booked a flight to Italy from the USA with two dogs and cat. No confirmation. When I checked, a few days later: "Oh, no, we do not carry animals on that flight because we co-share it with United. Book another flight, this time on Lufthansa. Another $1,000 and we will CARRY YOUR PETS. No confirmation. When I checked: "Oh, no, there is no room on that flight for your pets. Sorry. But can I have my $1,000 refund then? No. What would have happened if we had arrived at the airport with three pets, in good faith, trusting they had been booked on the flight as we had been told - not once, but twice? I am disgusted.
