Misleading Estate Agent

I and my partner had purchased a property through the estate agency Lucky Dzanibe Properties in September 2017. He had informed us that the original owner of the property had passed away and that the property is occupied by its beneficiary (The deceased's sister) who is the one that has decided to sell the property.

My partner and I did research prior to accepting the offer from the bank to finance the property, we then found that a property that is still registered in the name of someone who is deceased takes longer to register as it requires additional processes.

When we asked if this would not affect the time frame of registering the property in our name he informed us that the property would only take 2-3 months to register since we accepted the bank's offer in October 2017. Thus meaning the property would be registered in our names by December 2017 or January 2018 if delayed.

In March 2018 the property had still not been registered in our names. When we tried to call the agent regarding the delay he would not answer our calls or reject them with a message informing us that he is busy with other clients.

When we finally got hold of him the the third week of March 2018 he informed us that the delay was due to the fact that the original file of the property was lost and a new duplicate was done at the High Court.

We then instructed him to stop the process as this has delayed us and we were now renting a place (which was subsequent to the delay created) and bearing extra costs. He continued to do a duplicated and never followed our instructions as his clients.
