<p>Two months ago I bought a used trailer mounted mobile air compressor for R 59 000,00 from Mr John O’Connor of LSA Services Pty in Bothasig. I intended using this machine in my borehole drilling business on a daily basis. Mr O’Connor assured me that the machine was in perfect working order, and had in fact been recently completely overhauled and had only run a 100 hours since the overhaul (these machines typically are used for about 1000 hours per annum) The machine broke within 15 minutes the first time I sued, spewing oil all over a customer’s paved driveway, the clean-up cost of which I had to bear.</p> <p>It was sent back to LSA Services and returned two days later with their assurance that it was now fixed. After another 30 minutes of use it broke down again, and was again returned to LSA, again it was returned with assurances of being fixed. Unsurprisingly after less than another 30 minutes it broke down again and was again returned. This time Mr O’Connor informed me that I would need to pay him R 7000,00 to effect repairs. I told him this was not acceptable and that in terms of the CPA I was cancelling the deal and wanted my money refunded. He promised to do so but insisted that I have to wait for him to re-sell the machine (to another unsuspecting sucker?) before he could refund me. Weeks passed with no word from LSA Services until I eventually sent a driver to go and retrieve the compressor from them. The machine was lying at their premise with components removed and clearly no attempt being made to repair or sell it.</p> <p>John O’Connor avoids taking my phone calls and is evasive whenever I do manage to get him on the phone and has made not any attempt to repay me or repair the machine.</p> <p>Would you do business with this company??</p> <p> </p>
