Lloyds Register Quality Assurance has serious problems

This is a major international ISO auditing company. They confirmed my audit dates and on audit day they mysteriously did not arrive. They left me waiting for hours and i found out much later that they cancelled without letting me know. This made me extremely upset! Later i receive correspondence stating they cancelled because i was unhappy with paying for flights and a hotel. Apparently you should never ask for a local auditor so you don't get charged for flights. It seems they will inform the auditor you are not prepared to pay for flights and the auditor will simply not arrive as scheduled. They will just cancel on you without a word and let you find out when they don't pitch up. Then when you are cornered, in their opinion, you will be asked if you now would like to reconsider. At no point will they engage you in a civil manner to let you know, perhaps they don't have a local auditor. Their fee structure says they will charge for flights if necessary. The problem is that they are seemingly always necessary and it can more than double the cost. Not that they seem bothered by that. You will simply be presented with a copy of the contract as if you are bound to stay with them. My impression these last few years is that they have great Auditors but that one client is meaningless and easily discarded. There is no need to engage in dialog to explain anything. You are a number to them. There is also no need to let you have audit plans in advance and getting the certificate sent to you is like dragging an elephant across the desert sand. Then the billing will come months later. It is all just so chaotic!
