Warning: Beware of Online ****s!!! I’m almost too embarrassed to share this, because I was such a fool!!! But I hope it saves someone else from making the same mistake. I recently got ****med out of R895 for a pair of shoes I was really excited about. They were advertised as orthopedic, high-quality, and from what appeared to be a South African company called Louw Durban. Their branding included our flag, the URL has a .co.za, their website looked professional, and even the follow-up emails seemed legitimate. But when the shoes arrived, they were NOTHING like what I ordered. The quality was shockingly bad, they weren’t orthopedic, and it was clear they were cheaply made imports from China. I wouldn’t even pay R50 for them!!! A colleague shared a similar experience with a different company, so this isn’t an isolated incident. Please don’t trust ads at face value.
