Reading glasses to R12000 multi focals.

My wife attended an eye test at Longbeach Eye Studio, Noordhoek, WC, for reading glasses on 05/10/2019 and after 2 hours of testing and prodding and poking and unsolicited sales pitches was pressured into signing a Quotation document which was then used to start the manufacture of R12000.00 multi focals including expensive Timberland frame. She informed them on 3 separate occasions during the process that she would have to first run it by her husband. This was seemingly ignored. I am the primary member of the medical aid which was used to deduct over R6000.00 from the medical savings account thereby depleting our medical savings for the year. At no time was I contacted or consulted by this practice ***ner Annelize Van Niekerk) before they went ahead with manufacture which apparently started on the same Saturday after the eye test. We were informed by the receptionist on the Monday morning that the manufacturer of the lenses is "in Thailand"????? I highly doubt this. I eventually paid the outstanding balance and had submitted all docs to Discovery for review. They eventually refunded the amount claimed by this practitioner. I therefore decided to pay the refunded amount back in 3 installments. Annelize is now adding interest and "admin charges" to the account and has threatened to blacklist my wife for these trivial amounts. I have laid a complaint with the HPCSA and await their review of the processes followed by this practice.
